Role

As Assurance Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of assurance at Kiwibank, during a period of large-scale transformation. As we shift towards automated controls, you’ll help shape and embed technology-enabled assurance practices. You’ll promote a positive risk and assurance culture, act as a trusted advisor, and help embed assurance principles and practices across the bank. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Assurance, and subject matter experts, you’ll drive maturity, support the roll-out of our Enterprise Assurance Standard, and deliver assurance activities that make a real difference for our customers and colleagues.

What you’ll bring

At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and develop new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following skills and experience :

• Proven experience in assurance, audit, or risk management within financial services, with a strong background in technology, automation, or transformation, ideally gained in an environment undergoing large-scale change
• Experience implementing or managing automated controls and digital assurance solutions
• Collaborative team player who challenges the status quo and contributes innovative ideas
• Strong communicator who builds rapport and influences stakeholders at all levels
• Solid understanding of risk management, compliance, and assurance principles and practices
• Expertise in identifying controls, establishing assurance programmes, and assessing control effectiveness
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to summarise insights and contribute pragmatic solutions
• Experience managing multiple deliverables and thriving in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Experience preparing reports for Executive, Management, and / or Board Committees is desirable
• Experience applying or leveraging data analytics is advantageous
