Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EI&C) Engineer

Design, scope and deliver specialist EI&C engineering related capital works projects at one of New Zealand’s leading industrial sites. Work on site to deliver specialist engineering projects, building relationships across plants, project teams, contractors and other stakeholders. Apply international steel industry experience and on-site collaboration as part of a close-knit site team focused on project delivery excellence for clients and your personal and professional development.

Join the New Zealand Steel, Glenbrook-based team within Beca’s Engineering Services, with access to the depth of Beca Industrial and the broader multi-discipline workforce to support project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Execute capital projects in all stages, from design through to construction and commissioning
• Participate in a mix of project delivery activities, including project justification, work planning and financial management, alongside client relationship management
• Provide client leadership and technical direction on a range of EI&C projects
• Be a leader, mentor and coach to the Electrical team
• Network, develop and grow relationships with clients and the Beca team within the industrial business
• Collaborate with Beca’s technical specialists and multidisciplinary workforce to develop optimal client solutions

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience with the detailed design process and understand how designs and solutions impact site requirements. On-site experience and ability to build relationships with operations teams is advantageous.

You should be able to work with and influence a wide group of people across all levels of the organisation, embrace challenges, promote innovation and lead with a mindset of continual improvement.

You are an engineer with a strong track record of delivering industrial projects, experience dealing with local authorities and utility providers. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including those with steel industry experience in New Zealand or globally.
