Tower is transforming the Digital and Data landscape for Insurance in NZ and the Pacific, and is looking for a talented Sr Business Analyst to join one of its cornerstone projects in customer data.

What will you be doing?

The successful candidate will provide advice related to business analysis, mentor junior BAs, and contribute to the Practice Capability. They will also improve and reimagine business processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand strategic imperatives.

You can expect to be across the following :

  • Providing advice related to business analysis
  • Mentoring and developing Junior BAs and contributing to the Practice Capability
  • Embracing agility and Lean thinking to deliver value early to customers
  • Improving and reimagining business processes
  • Collaborating with squad members and stakeholders to understand strategic imperatives
  • Actively collaborating with the design team to understand customers and their challenges
  • Using data analytics to better understand customers and build better solutions
  • Understanding technology to enable new ways of working and capabilities for Tower
  • Embracing a customer journey view of delivery to plan, prioritize, and break up deliverables into Epics and stories
  • Owning workshops and refinement sessions to discover customers' requirements and progress user stories and requirements
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise with Tower staff

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate the following :

  • At least 8 years' industry experience in Information Technology and IT, preferably in the insurance industry
  • A 'customer first' mind-set and a bias for getting things done
  • A catalyst for innovation, thinking beyond projects and programs to wider applications of ideas and values
  • The ability to facilitate and promote collaboration between designers and technical team members to come up with feasible solutions
  • Ownership of user stories / requirements, pulling elements together into a cohesive story for the development team and QA team
