Design & evaluation lead (DEL) – mathematics

The Design and Evaluation Lead (DEL) role is a leadership responsibility.

The DEL will work closely with the learning area lead to continuously review the design of teaching and learning programmes and drive adjustments to meet the ever-changing needs of our learners.

This involves tracking and monitoring learner progress and outcomes and supporting teachers with pedagogical best practice and implementation of the New Zealand Curriculum.

The DEL will be a well-qualified, experienced and dynamic maths teacher with knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and the ability to teach maths to all year levels (9–13).

Review and adjust teaching and learning programmes in collaboration with the learning area lead.

Track and monitor learner progress and outcomes.

Support teachers with pedagogical best practice and curriculum implementation.

Drive continuous improvement to meet evolving learner needs.

Qualifications

Certificated teacher eligible to teach mathematics in secondary / wharekura.

1 MU + 2 MMA component count.

Significant experience in teaching mathematics to years 9–13.

Strong knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum.

Dynamic and collaborative teaching style.

Full time, Permanent.

Secondary (Years 9–15) / wharekura, certificated teacher.

Mathematics and statistics.
