- We are looking for some talented individuals to come join our District Court as a Court Registry Officer in Hamilton.
We have permanent opportunties and a fixed term 6 month part time opportunity (32.4 hours per week).
As a a Court Registry Officer (CRO), you will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court.
You will liaise with multiple stakeholders who are interacting with the Justice system.
This includes being able to communicate confidently with Judges within the courtroom and their chambers, as well as other members of the judiciary.The tasks required in the CRO role include but is not limited to :
Customer Service –interacting with customers on any court related matter.Customer queries can come in via face to face, phone or email interactions – so you will need to be confident with all methods
Court Taking –this is the facilitation of running the court.This includes introducing Judges (in English and Te Reo Maori), working closely with them in the Courtroom and Chambers, managing jurors and general administration of the court
Case Management –taking responsibility for ensuring that the Judiciary and case parties have all the information they need, and that logistics are in place to ensure cases are heard in a timely and effortless mannerTravel within the Waikato Courts may be required thereforemust have a full clean New Zealand driving licence.Creating a continuous learning environment is important to us.As the successful applicant, you will bring your thirst for knowledge and improvement.
You will have an individual training plan and be supported to carry out the role.
As a Court Registry Officer this includes exercising Deputy Registrar Powers.

Utu a-tau /SalaryThe remuneration for this role is $59,729 to $80,794.The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
