This role is a part-time position (0.6 FTTE), which equates to three full teaching days per week.

Key responsibilities :
Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate programmes for a composite Y1–3 class for the allocated 0.6 FTTE hours.
Fostering a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Building strong, collaborative relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community.
Assessment and reporting on student progress and achievement.
Skills and attributes we're looking for :
NZ Trained and Registered Teacher (Full Practising Certificate required).
Prior experience teaching within the Y1-3 age group is desirable.
Understanding of the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum (NZC).
Preferred knowledge of the science of learning and some experience with structured literacy and structured maths approaches.
A commitment to evidence-based practice is valued.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
A genuine love for teaching and the ability to be adaptable and resourceful in a rural school environment.
