    Join our team at the Financial Services Centre as a Senior Financial Services Administrator and step into a career that blends technical excellence, leadership and purpose.

Our Financial Services Centre is the engine room that makes this possible - ensuring that payments are accurate and made in a timely manner and that financial processes are efficient and adhere to internal controls.

    As a Senior Financial Services Administrator, you'll perform critical financial operations, coach and train others, influence process improvements and drive service excellence across the organisation, your financial expertise will directly support better outcomes for tamariki and whanau across Aotearoa.

    This role is based in our shared service centre in tranquil Rotorua, take advantage of work life balance and strong meaningful community values. Candidates for this role are required to already be based in Rotorua or be willing to relocate to Rotorua for this opportunity.

    Key requirements of the role

  • Strong experience in delivering customer focused financial services (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other financial administration), administrative support, and advisory activities to managers and staff, preferably in a large organization.
  • Experience in coaching, training, and providing day to day support to staff.
  • Able to effectively prioritise and schedule work to meet competing deadlines and maintain the quality of services delivered
  • Able to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences and build and maintain rapport with others
  • Demonstrated experience in using a financial management information system (FMIS).
  • Experience in the continuous improvement of financial and administration systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaborative peer and other, stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A high level of competence in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi principles, tikanga Maori and Pacific peoples' culture.
