Contract Manager - Liveable Streets

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to join our Region's Senior Leadership Team and lead the Liveable Streets Road Maintenance Contract team in Auckland.

Liveable Streets is a joint venture between Higgins and HEB Construction to deliver the South Rural Road Corridor Maintenance Contract for Auckland Transport.

The Liveable Streets team is well established and performing well, in year 3 of the 10 year contract.

They are responsible for sealed and unsealed road maintenance, emergency management, customer and stakeholder management and a large programme of surfacing renewals and rehabilitation works.

You will lead a large team to successfully deliver all network maintenance and renewals, including all aspects of commercial and financial performance, variation pricing, client liaison and work programming.

You will be the key contact to ensure the existing collaborative long-term working relationships are maintained with the client, suppliers and other stakeholders including the community.

What You'll Bring To The Role

Extensive proven experience in New Zealand road maintenance contracts.

Understanding of the technical, contractual and financial requirements of roading maintenance contracts.

Proven leadership capability with strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering performance.

Strong client focus and ability to build long-term relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project; knowledge of CRM systems.

Working understanding and ability to use RAMM, RAMM Contractor, Pocket RAMM.

Adaptable and capable of succeeding in a dynamic environment.

Commitment to the highest standards of health and safety.

Preferable but not essential : tertiary qualifications such as BEng, NZCE (Civil) or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
