Our reputable Turnkey Electrical and Renewable Energy Solutions client is seeking a skilled Master Electrician / 3 Phase Electrician to join their team based in Montclair, Durban.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Master Electrician / 3-Phase Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all electrical work meets regulatory standards, overseeing electrical installations, and signing off Certificates of Compliance (COCs) . This role requires an in-depth understanding of electrical codes, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to manage projects from installation through to final inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage electrical installations, maintenance, and repair work to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
• Sign off Certificates of Compliance (COCs) in accordance with the requirements of the Electrical Installation Regulations and SANS 10142.
• Inspect, test, and verify electrical installations for safety, compliance, and quality assurance.
• Supervise and guide electricians and apprentices during installation and maintenance activities.
• Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and corrective actions on 3-phase electrical systems , motors, panels, and industrial equipment.
• Ensure that all electrical work is performed safely and in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
• Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Maintain detailed documentation of electrical work completed and COCs issued.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide recommendations for electrical improvements, system upgrades, and energy efficiency.
