Trev is a proudly Kiwi‑owned company made up of a tight, talented team of eight. We’re small by design, close‑knit and collaborative and our aim is to take the pain out of managing farm data and become New Zealand’s favourite farm reporting and productive insights tool.

Role

As a Mobile Developer iOS / Android, you’ll report to our CTO and be part of a small but collaborative, fun and curious team. Trev has just recently expanded from a web app to offer a brand new cross‑platform React Native mobile app. You will play a very key role in enhancing this and future mobile applications and features from the ground up.

This is a permanent, full‑time position and can be based anywhere around the Waikato or Auckland as we meet in‑person about once a week in our office in Ponsonby.

Your key areas of responsibilities will be :

• Architect, develop and maintain high‑quality, efficient, and reliable mobile applications for iOS / Android using React Native.
• Participate in the entire mobile application development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, testing and release.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Work closely with the CTO to define, design, and implement new mobile application features.
• Ensure seamless integration of new features and updates into the mobile applications.
• Perform thorough testing of releases across different devices and platforms to identify and address any issues before deployment, ensuring a high‑quality user experience with each product release.
• Conduct regular testing, troubleshooting and debugging to identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical issues.
• Own the build of CI / CD pipelines and deployment.
• Create alignment and transition legacy applications to our current product and development strategy.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest mobile development trends, tools, and technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

We have a remote‑first workplace so this role can be remote anywhere around the Waikato or Auckland. We meet in‑person about once a week as a team in our office in Ponsonby.
