Good Bitches Baking (GBB) is a nationwide, for-purpose organisation with a very simple kaupapa — spreading kindness through the mechanism of home-baked treats.
There are two parts to our programmes. First, we support organisations that work with people having a tough time — from individuals or whānau experiencing illness, grief, violence or hardship, to those who are lonely and simply seek a cuppa, a sweet treat and a kind word. And secondly, we provide flexible, accessible volunteering opportunities without barriers or discrimination. Every week, our 3,500 volunteers across 30 (and soon 32!) chapters share homemade treats with 584 recipient organisations that support people doing it tough.
We believe small doable acts of kindness create big ripples of connection that contribute to healthy, resilient, compassionate communities. We want to maximise the reach of kindness throughout our communities, and make sure everything we do happens as smooth as buttercream!
what we need.
We’re looking for a smart, experienced marketer and storyteller who can turn stories of kindness into action — action that attracts volunteers, builds partnerships, raises the dough, and helps us keep the ovens warm and the kindness flowing.
You’ll lead brand, marketing and content; drive fundraising effectiveness; and champion digital tools that boost our capability.
