Retail Assistants

New World Wigram is looking for positive and reliable staff to work in our retail and fresh foods teams on a casual basis covering busy trading periods and staff absences.

As a casual supermarket assistant, you could be working with multiple teams, including fresh food teams, retail teams, the online team and helping keep our store operating smoothly and efficiently.

Applicants need to be available at short notice, be willing to assist where needed and have a reliable means of transport as some of these shifts may include a 6.30am start.

There is the potential for these roles to become permanent positions for the right candidate.

These roles include :

maintaining product quality and presentation standards

assisting customers with product enquiries

job variety

Personal attributes required are :

a strong work ethic, personable and positive manner

reliability, resilience and adaptability

a willingness to learn

an ability to work well within a team and independently.

These are physical jobs, involving lifting, and a good level of fitness is required.
