Group Programme Coordinator – Family Works, Dunedin

The opportunity to effect real change for tamariki and whanau doesn’t come along every day, but right now you have the chance to join our Group Programme service within the Family Works team at Presbyterian Support Otago.

About the Role

You will work within a small team of Group Coordinators and facilitators to deliver group programmes to tamariki, rangatahi and whanau accessing our service. You will also be responsible for ensuring the content of Family Works group programmes remains current and aligns with proven practice.

As a member of the Family Works team at Presbyterian Support Otago, you will also be a part of a larger regional team of colleagues. This role will give you the opportunity to make a real difference for tamariki, rangatahi and whanau in our community.

Hours : This is a permanent part‑time position based in our Dunedin office, working 30 hours per week as a Group Programme Coordinator and requires some flexibility to work evenings for the delivery of group programmes.

About You

• Have a clear understanding of child development and proven ability to relate to tamariki.
• Have an awareness of social issues and the impact these have for whanau, especially in regard to parenting.
• Have the ability to demonstrate exceptional planning, and organisational skills.
• Have the ability to manage complex and competing priorities effectively.
• Have skills to develop resources for group programmes, both creative and research based.
• Have skills in use of computer systems and databases to maximise the use of technology for improved service provision.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• A full driver’s licence is essential for this role.
