We are looking for candidates to join the fusion‑energy effort in the newly formed Future Energy Acceleration & Translation (FEAT) Programme, A
- STAR. FEAT’s Advanced Ceramic Composite & Coatings team focuses primarily on advanced materials development. The new hires will be expected to contribute to and potentially lead research in materials synthesis and irradiation testing & analysis. While the new hires will begin by working on existing projects, participation in grant calls as a principal investigator will be highly encouraged.
The key scope of job includes :
Develop and evaluate advanced materials for energy applications, including fusion, fission, hydrogen technologies, or other extreme environment.Conduct research on materials development for harsh and extreme environments to improve performance and reliability in energy applications.Assist project and group leaders in preparing research proposals and achieving OKR (Objectives and Key Results).Publish high-quality scientific papers and contribute to intellectual property development.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on energy‑related projects.Job Requirements :
PhD in Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldsStrong publication record and / or relevant research experience.Proven expertise in materials development for energy‑related research such as fusion, fission, hydrogen, or other advanced energy systems.Experience with materials characterization techniques and performance evaluation in extreme environments.Solid understanding of physics of materials, material degradation mechanisms, and structural integrity analysis.Ability to work independently with a proactive and results‑oriented mindset.Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective teamwork skills.Min 5 yearsof experienceon materials synthesis and irradiation testing & analysis#J-18808-Ljbffr
