As Curator Art, you’ll bring MTG Hawke’s Bay Tai Ahuriri’s collections and stories to life through innovative exhibitions and public programmes that engage, inspire, and reflect our community. From concept development to delivery, you’ll shape experiences that connect audiences to the region’s heritage and contemporary culture, while also contributing to the stewardship and growth of our collections.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver exhibitions that engage diverse audiences and reflect MTG’s priorities and curatorial vision.
• Lead public programmes and interpretive materials that enhance visitor experiences.
• Undertake research and share knowledge through talks, publications, and outreach.
• Collaborate with colleagues, artists, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and impactful delivery.

About you

Ngā painga mōhou – What we Offer

This is a permanent, full time opportunity working 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday. You will be based at the MTG in Napier.

The annual salary package for this role is between $73,300-$86,200 (including KiwiSaver) with the final offer depending on your skills and experience.
