The Role

We’re looking for a Data Architect / Engineer to design, build, and maintain Engender’s data infrastructure. In this role, you’ll create scalable and secure data architectures that power research, operations, and decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with scientists, engineers, and business teams, you’ll ensure Engender’s data is accurate, accessible, and ready to drive insight.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable data models, architectures, and pipelines.
• Build and maintain data warehouses, lakes, and integration tools.
• Develop and optimise ETL / ELT processes for ingestion, transformation, and loading.
• Collaborate with analysts, scientists, and business teams to support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are met.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and tools in data management and analytics.
• Document standards, architecture, and processes for governance and knowledge sharing.
