About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse or Midwife to apply their health experience to support our TrendCare and Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) / Safe staffing programmes. This role mainly focuses on the TrendCare system, while also working closely with members of the team on the CCDM / Safe Staffing programme.

This position is primarily to ensure that the information within TrendCare is of high quality and that the data can be used to support informed decision making with emphasis on patient safety, workforce capacity, safe staffing and effective utilisation of resources within Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Hawkes Bay.

The coordinator is responsible for system monitoring, utilisation of the TrendCare system and on-going training needs. You will ensure that end users and managers are trained to a required level of competency in their use of the Trendcare system and are supported on an ongoing basis. You will be familiar with the overall CCDM / Safe staffing programme standards working alongside your coordinator colleague to ensure information, data and reporting, aligns and is consistent to support delivery of the programme.

About the Team / Service / Location

This role sits within the TrendCare and CCDM / Safe Staffing team who are primarily responsible for the utilisation, promotion and management of the TrendCare system and CCDM / Safe Staffing programme at Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Hawkes Bay. The team collaborates closely with our nursing and midwifery leaders and union partners to ensure delivery efforts are aligned, efficient, and focused on outcomes that support safe staffing.

About you

This position will suit someone with a strong background in hospital Nursing or Midwifery practice, who is competent in the use of computer applications, has well developed training skills and is a strong communicator. This will suit someone who has the ability to work at a high level with regards to health informatics and be an advanced / expert user to facilitate collation of reports and analysis of outcomes.

You must have a current New Zealand APC and recent clinical and / or leadership experience, with a post graduate qualification or working towards one.
