Functional Partner

Overview

As part of the Application Support Team, our next Functional Partner will join a highly experienced team responsible for supporting enterprise platforms across Vector. This role will primarily focus on applications within the Electricity Network domain, while also providing support across other business areas as required.

The Functional Partner will operate across both business-as-usual (BAU) and project environments, providing application support, troubleshooting, and contributing to the delivery of digital enhancements. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of business processes and demonstrate the ability to translate operational needs into effective technology solutions.

This position offers significant scope for professional development, with clear pathways into roles such as Business Analyst, Delivery Lead, or Platform Specialist.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support for business applications, including issue resolution and user assistance.
• Liaise with third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Maintain documentation of business processes, application configurations, and system changes.
• Participate in Agile delivery teams (Scrum / Kanban) to support the implementation of new features and enhancements.
• Advocate for business requirements within cross-functional teams.
• Support user acceptance testing and change management activities.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve business processes through technology.
