About Our Client

A number of clients (NZ wide) are seeking skilled and detail-oriented accounting professionals to join their public practice chartered accountancy teams across New Zealand.

They are looking for Senior BAS Accountants and BAS Managers to help lead, train and build!

The ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, excellent organisational abilities, and the confidence to manage clients and mentor junior staff where required.

You could be managing GST returns, PAYE, and income tax filings, reviewing client work, maintaining accurate records, mentoring and training junior staff, reviewing work, managing a diverse client portfolio, and being challenged with complex compliance and advisory workloads that help you grow and develop!

These positions are perfect for people who are proactive, highly organised, and ready to take ownership while supporting growing accounting teams.

Please note : you need to have at least 4 years of experience working in a New Zealand public practice chartered accountancy firm , and you must have the right to work in New Zealand .

Responsibilities

• BAS & Tax Compliance : Prepare, review, and lodge BAS, GST, PAYE, and other compliance obligations accurately and on time.
• Client Communication : Liaise with clients to collect necessary information and resolve queries regarding BAS and related compliance matters.
• Team Support & Mentoring : Support junior staff in BAS preparation and bookkeeping, providing guidance and mentoring where required.
• Process Improvement : Identify areas for efficiency gains in BAS workflows.
