Are you passionate about data, quality, and making a real impact? Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to join our Insights & Analytics team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our information data, analytics, and reporting products meet the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and reliability, supporting evidence‑based decisions that help connect people, products, and places across New Zealand. You’ll test across modern BI platforms (Power BI, Qlik Sense, SSRS, Databricks), validate data pipelines and models, and help ensure our information products drive evidence‑based decisions.

Skills
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.

Create a sound evidence base for direction setting and decision‑making, based on research, analytics, insights, intelligence, and monitoring performance.
Develop strategic packages and programmes that improve the performance of the land transport system and provide outcome‑focused, evidence‑based, clear, and stable investment direction leading to affordable investment decisions.
Inform central and local government policy and strategic direction and identify the mid to long‑term view of the land transport system.
