Job description

About The Company

An organisation dedicated to celebrating and strengthening the Māori identity, language and culture. Its work focuses on sharing stories that reflect unique perspectives, values and traditions while also embracing modern innovation and creativity. With a strong commitment to education, connection and cultural preservation, the organisation strives to inspire pride, understanding and unity among all communities in New Zealand and beyond.

About The Role

We are seeking a Learning and Development Advisor for a fixed‑term position to support the next phase of the capability development programme. After the initial groundwork – mapping competencies across senior leadership, management and employee levels – the focus of this role is to build on that foundation by costing proposed initiatives, scheduling and coordinating their delivery, developing an implementation plan, and designing assessment tools and frameworks to measure effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Cost proposed learning and development initiatives.
  • Schedule and coordinate delivery of programmes.
  • Develop a clear implementation plan.
  • Design assessment tools and frameworks to measure effectiveness.
  • Ensure initiatives are practical, well‑aligned and ready for execution.

About You / Qualifications

  • Experience delivering and evaluating L&D programmes aligned to business strategy.
  • Qualification in a related field.
  • Training content and facilitation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Previous use of CRM & LMS systems.
  • Ability to engage an audience – a service‑delivery mindset that drives uptake.
  • Fluent in Te reo Māori would be a big advantage.
  • Apply

To apply for this vacancy you must be a New Zealand citizen, resident or hold a valid visa. Contact Michaela Brchlova at 027 305 9031 for a confidential chat. At the appropriate stage we will request references – do not include them on your CV when applying.

We celebrate all points of view, encourage inclusion in every interaction and genuinely care about people and their stories.
