Job description

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher; Social sciences.We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic teacher of humanities to teach in our middle school, senior school and Y11 Tohu programmes.

This is a permanent appointment commencing in January 2026.With a national and international reputation for excellence, Scots College is a world-class independent school with a strong Presbyterian heritage.

It is a co-educational, IB World School in Wellington, New Zealand and comprises three schools in one; junior (1-6), middle (7-10) and senior (11-13).

We provide our students with an excellent, holistic education within a vibrant learning environment, our aim being to allow them to contribute as global citizens who think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively and develop the necessary skills to Learn.

For life.Scots is a dual pathway school offering both NCEA and IB Diploma to senior students.

At Y11 we offer the Tohu, a tailor made, future focused award, and at Y7-10 the Middle Years Programme.
