Key Responsibilities
Setup, operate, and pack-down of audiovisual systems for events, ensuring delivery across audio, video, lighting, and control systems.Act as technical contact on the floor during live events, troubleshooting issues in real-time and coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.Interpret technical plans, run sheets, and event briefs in delivering and supporting events as per client requirements.Collaborate closely with the AV Planning Team to ensure accurate execution of event specifications and communicate any operational constraints or changes.Maintain and operate a wide range of AV technologies, including networked AV systems, Dante-enabled devices, digital audio consoles, video switchers, projection systems, and control platforms.Ensure proper care, storage, and inventory management of AV equipment, reporting any faults, damages, or maintenance needs.Support the continuous improvement of AV operations processes, suggesting innovations and efficiencies where applicable.Uphold high standards of professionalism, client service, and manaakitanga during all interactions and events.Maintain accurate documentation and post-event reporting, including incident logs and performance reviews.High understanding and application of health and safety standards.Learn and grow your skills across multiple AV disciplines.Work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.Collaborate with other AV technicians and contractors to bring events to life.About You
Tertiary Qualification in AV is highly desirable.Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.A quick learner who is keen to grow their knowledge across all AV disciplines.Proactive and self-motivated — someone who takes initiative, spots what needs doing, and doesn’t wait to be told.Passionate about AV and live events, with a genuine interest in staying involved in a fast-paced and evolving industry.Calm and level-headed under pressure, able to troubleshoot and make decisions during live event delivery.Comfortable taking the lead on the floor if required and supporting others, including AV casual staff.A clear and confident communicator who can liaise effectively with clients, presenters, and internal teams.Organised and able to read and interpret event briefs, floor plans, and run sheets with attention to detail.Reliable and professional, with a strong sense of responsibility for delivering high-quality outcomes.Willing to be hands-on with equipment setup and pack-down, including working early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.A positive team player who contributes to a supportive, respectful, and can-do work culture.Why Join Us?
