The Supervisor / Kaimahi is a member of a multi-disciplinary team who are responsible for the development and implementation of the therapeutic treatment programme.
Tai Aroha is an intensive specialist residential rehabilitation treatment programme targeting high risk community-based offenders (residents), who have multiple treatment needs related to violence. The overall objectives of the programme are to reduce participants' risk of serious reoffending and increase their capacity to live socially responsible and fulfilling lifestyles.
The programme aims to provide a culturally responsive rehabilitation experience, in particular for Māori participants, by respecting and incorporating Tikanga Māori and kaupapa Māori concepts within and alongside Western based rehabilitation practices.
The purpose of the role is to support residents within the residential setting and during external activities.

The successful applicant will operate effectively in a Māori cultural environment demonstrating a calm demeanour andresilience in our offender-centric setting.
Strong problem-solving, team building and influencing skills are essential, as is the ability to model pro-social behaviour and to represent the therapeutic community in a positive manner.

A full driver's licence is essential, with the ability to drive an automatic and manual vehicle.

The starting salary for this role is $64,983, with the potential to earn $72,289.
