Long Term Maintenance Planner

Due to internal movement, we have the opportunity to join our Asset Management Team as a Long Term Maintenance Planner.
In this role you\'ll establish the longer-term maintenance priorities for assets and develop future maintenance forecasts based on equipment lifecycle requirements and whole of life plans.
You'll be working to set up our assets for the future, ensure the right places plans are in place and formulate strategies beyond the financial year.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is very detailed who would like to contribute to the long term of our assets, which are some key infrastructures within New Zealand with a long history and a future ahead.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, able to engage with our stakeholders and committed to delivering work on time.
The preference is for this role to be based in Hamilton, though we\'re open to other locations near our sites for the right candidate.
Mercury supports a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home around two days per week, with the remaining days spent collaborating with your team either on-site or in the office.
Key responsibilities include :
Developing and optimising the operational and maintenance strategies, tactics, and budgets for all assets
Achieve the lowest direct cost of ownership, in the context of the specific business constraints
Medium and long-term planning and associated budget and / or resource projections
Prepares for maintenance activities ensuring that all labour, material and equipment resources are planned for execution
Ensure adherence to Mercury Preventive Maintenance and Job Plan Standards
Ensure maintenance strategies are compliant to relevant NZ and International Standards.
Maintenance trade qualification or equivalent engineering experience with greater than 10 years\' experience
Demonstrated knowledge of planning, scheduling and budgeting in CMMS - Maximo
Practical knowledge of Geothermal and or Hydro power station assets (Desirable but not necessary)
Deep knowledge of asset management fundamentals
Additional 5 days leave per annum (MyDays)
