The Role

The Business Analyst is responsible for the delivery of internal systems projects in accordance with the agreed delivery method. This is a full-time permanent role in our Christchurch office which focuses on managing and running all our internal systems for our global operation.

Key objectives of the role includeengaging with our stakeholders, helping them define objectives and requirements, and working with our customers to design solutions and the associated programmes of work to deliver the solution in such a way as to maximise value to Seequent.

As a Business Analyst your skills will be used across a wide range of existing activity and new business challenges.

Key day to day tasks might typically include :

• Establishing and validating requirements.
• Curating and managing backlogs, features and stories.
• Crafting user-centered experiences that solve identifiable pain points.
• Establishing user personas and journeys, business rules, optimised processes, decision trees and any other elements required to bring the requirements to life for all of your stakeholders.
• Creating documentation i.e. use cases, prototypes, specifications, wireframes, proposals and strategy documents.
• Facilitating workshops with groups of customers and internal stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have a solid business background, being able to talk the language of your customers so they can see that you have captured their requirements, and they understand the solution you are proposing. You will be equally adept at translating these requirements into technical documents that enable accurate and rapid delivery of quality digital solutions.

This role is office based, in Christchurch. There may be a requirement, from time to time, to work outside of standard office hours in order to connect with colleagues in other time zones.
