With the incredible support of volunteers and field staff, to date we have planted more than 2 million native trees, cleared 800 hectares of invasive weeds and 14,000kg of rubbish.

That's not to mention our predator control, species monitoring, the scores of people who have found full time employment through our Conservation Work Skills programme and thousands of volunteers connected to Te Taiao and educated on conservation issues across Aotearoa.By becoming a member of the CVNZ team, you will be using your passion for conservation to enable this mahi to continue and Papatuanuku to thrive.Volunteer Engagement OfficerJoin our dedicated and passionate team!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Volunteer Engagement Officer to join our Auckland team.

You will be responsible for the promotion and coordination of volunteer engagement, whilst also providing overall administrative support.To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with effective time management and organisation.

Experience in volunteer or community engagement will be highly regarded.

While the position is primarily focused on engagement and administration, you may also support the delivery of volunteer activities, so an interest in practical conservation work is an advantage.Job Type : Full Time Permanent positionLocation : AucklandHours : 38 hours (5 days) per weekSalary : $60,000 – $75,000 p.a.Essential Skills & ExperienceAbility to seek out and inspire people to volunteer, encouraging their commitment to Conservation VolunteersExperience in proactive recruitment, community engagement, or volunteer programsDemonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service and build successful networks and contactsEffective communication and interpersonal skills across verbal, written and public presentationsExcellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing prioritiesCompetent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database useFull Drivers LicensePassion for environmental issues, volunteering, and community development
