We are currently seeking a passionate Team Manager | Sports to join our team and take charge of maintaining grounds within our Hastings District Council contract.ResponsibilitiesLeveraging your extensive knowledge of sports turf, with a particular emphasis on cricket grounds, to achieve outstanding resultsCollaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to exceed project objectives and create remarkable outdoor spacesUtilising your mechanical expertise to operate and maintain mowers, tractors, line markers and other turf-related equipmentDemonstrating meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills to work autonomously and meet tight deadlinesManage a team of direct reports ranging from Cricket Groundsman to Mower OperatorsWhat We Are Looking ForA strong knowledge and passion for sports turfMotivated and self-driven with the physical fitness required for the roleLevel 4 turf qualification with demonstrable experience in preparation and maintenance of cricket pitches and other sports playing turfFlexibility to work some weekends during the sporting seasonsA full, clean NZ driver's licence and capability to drive a manual vehicle are essentialWhat We Can Offer YouCareer Growth : We believe in internal development and offer opportunities for advancement within our organisation and your careerCommunity Impact : Join us in making a positive difference by maintaining our community Buildings, leisure parks, reserves and garden facilities.Employee Benefits : Take advantage of our annual $300 wellness benefit (after a qualifying period), mobile phone with personal use, Ute and much more!
