We are seeking a passionate and skilled teacher of ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) to join our inclusive and future-focused team. This is an excellent opportunity to support the language development and literacy success of our diverse group of learners.

A successful candidate will demonstrate :

• A background in ESOL teaching and a sound understanding of English language acquisition
• Knowledge of the English Language Learning Progressions (ELLP) framework
• Experience in administering NCEA Unit Standards for ESL students , particularly those focusing on literacy and bilingual support
• A commitment to collaborative teaching and learning across curriculum areas
• Experience and ability to work with and support Māori and Pacific ākonga , and learners from diverse cultural backgrounds
• A commitment to the development of literacy and numeracy within a subject context
• The ability to build strong relationships with ākonga , whānau , and colleagues
• Proficiency in another language , such as Vietnamese or Mandarin , would be an advantage

All members of our teaching staff also serve as learning advisors , supporting students in their academic and personal growth.
