Responsibilities / Key accountabilities
- Be part of a significant transformation of New Zealand’s metro rail network
- Contribute to delivering best-in-class safety and service performance
- Fixed term to 30 June 2028, Auckland based
- Work with multiple sources including but not limited to Maximo, Engineering inspections, Eddy current reports, PAUT reports, NDT reports, EM80 reports ATIS reports to provide better understanding and report around the condition and trending of condition of infrastructure assets
- Working with Field Asset Engineers, Workbank Planners / Schedulers and Field Production Managers to support efficient scheduling of work
- Reviewing and providing summary reports on service requests and work orders
- Assisting with assurance and reporting for Metros, ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy requirements
- Assisting with identifying any non-compliance, ensuring mitigations and actions to rectify
- Act as SME for the contact of Asset Management and Business Plans and systems used by the Network teams
- Analyse and report on asset condition, trends, options, types of materials to support Asset Management Plans
- Various reporting, including asset updates, service requests, inspections and code compliance items
- Be recognised as a Maximo reporting expert
Knowledge and experience
Proven track record of contributing to positive project outcomes in complex multi-disciplinary environmentsExperience delivering rail projects is an advantage, and certification as Project Management Professional is a plusProven knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and reporting, including risk management, design, specification, and production for assigned projectsPrevious project engineering experience and ideally experience working in the railway or construction industryDemonstrable experience contributing to key project documentation and working with teams to deliver quality outputsExceptional organisational skills in prioritising and managing own workloadContinually reviewing work practices, productivity, and cost control throughout the project to maximise the financial performance of projectContinuously assess risks and scope changes, identifying and recommending solutions to minimise adverse effects on cost, timeliness and quality of the projectMaintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely communication of project progress and likely impactsWays of working / Work-related qualities
