Lead Front-End Engineer

Join our Digital Engineering team as a Lead Front-End Engineer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital customer experiences. You’ll lead up to two squads, balancing hands‑on engineering with leadership responsibilities. This includes driving experimentation, designing and delivering resilient software, mentoring engineers, and championing continuous improvement. This role is approximately 50% hands‑on engineering and 50% team enablement, with flexibility based on squad needs.
You’ll collaborate with Engineers, Designers, Architects, Principal Engineers, and stakeholders to :
- Deliver outstanding user‑centred digital experiences through innovation and bold experimentation
- Align solutions with modern engineering best practices
- Support the technical roadmap and business goals and influence future direction for front‑end architecture
- Minimise technical debt and surface blockers early
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and forward‑thinking team culture
To succeed in this role, you’ll need :
