We celebrate a 'One Team Culture', where bringing together diversity of thought and expression is key to building the best team to deliver excellent results.We are on the lookout for a Principal or Technical Director level Acoustics and Vibration Consultant to join our eight strong acoustics team spread out across Aotearoa.
With the ability to be based out of any one of our ten offices, the focus of this role is on environmental acoustics including but not limited to attracting and retaining clients and being a known technical expert within New Zealand.
Familiar with the Resource Management Act, local authority requirements and relevant NZ and international guidance and standards, you will be a technical advisor to the team as well as able to support and develop relationships with clients.ResponsibilitiesDriving the quality and delivery of environmental acoustics projectsWork with the rest of the Aotearoa Service Lines, partnering with Environmental Consultants, Planners, and Ecologists across New Zealand and further afield (the SLR acoustics teams maintains regular global connectivity)Delivering the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on qualityPreparing fee proposalsPreparing and reviewing high quality reportsEstablishing strong working relationships with clients and developing new business opportunitiesSkills And ExperienceA professional qualification in acoustics and vibration or other relevant degree / experience15+ years\' experience at a professional level, ideally in consultingExperience delivering and reviewing highly technical reportsExperience attending Council level and / or Environment Court hearings as an expert witnessDemonstrated knowledge of the Resource Management Act, local authority requirements and relevant standards and guidanceDemonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teamsStrong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframesA clear, concise and professional communication style (both written and spoken)Our BenefitsWe are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
