Full time, Fixed term, Start Date : 19 / 01 / 2026, End Date : 20 / 11 / 2026 (Maternity leave)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our lovely and spacious Kindergarten in Silverdale for a fun, caring, passionate and professional teacher to cover the maternity leave of one of our much-loved teachers.

Our kindergarten has amazing indoor-outdoor flow and is nestled within a beautiful environment which we pride ourselves on.

Tamariki attend between 8.30am–2.30pm and full-time teachers work 8am to 4.30pm.

Teachers experience excellent working conditions under the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement (KTCA) (6 week's annual leave, 3 week's professional time, generous non-contact time) and the security of being part of a supportive Association that schedules regular PLD and an annual conference.

The team consists of a head teacher, 3 full-time and 2 part-time teachers and a part-time support person who all work 5 days a week, and an administrator.

Passionate about sustainability

A NZ recognised ECE teaching qualification

Current NZ Teacher Certification

Current First Aid Certificate

NZ citizenship / residency or hold a NZ work visa.
