Delivery Lead

Our client is building a new digital platform from the ground up and is seeking an experienced Product Owner / Delivery Lead to drive successful delivery from vision to release.

This role bridges business needs, stakeholder input, and technical delivery across a modern JavaScript stack — ensuring the platform launches on time and with impact.

What You'll Do

Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics

Lead Agile delivery — manage sprints, backlog, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

Gather and refine requirements from regional news providers, focusing on API integrations and content workflows

Write, prioritise, and refine user stories and acceptance criteria in a clear, value-driven backlog

Collaborate with developers, designers, and QA to deliver high-quality releases

Proactively identify and remove delivery blockers, managing dependencies and risks

Balance priorities and make informed trade-offs between business value and technical feasibility

Core Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Product Owner or Delivery Lead in Agile / Scrum environments

Strong capability in backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment

Skilled in gathering and translating complex business and technical requirements

Familiarity with API design and data exchange workflows

Excellent communication and facilitation skills across cross-functional teams

Confident decision-maker with strong analytical and prioritization abilities

Understanding of Node.js (Express), React, TypeScript, MongoDB, and Payload CMS (You will not need to code but need to speak the language)

Nice to Have

Familiarity with AWS (for caching or deployment)

Experience in media or content-heavy digital products

Exposure to CI / CD pipelines and performance optimisation practices
