This role is perfect for a security professional with assessment experience who wants to contribute to developing the next generation of security practitioners.You will conduct workplace assessments, mentor students in real-world environments (online and on-site) and ensure our learners meet industry standards while gaining practical, hands-on experience in the security sector.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct work-based assessments for students undertaking the NZ Certificate in Security Level 3Create Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for each trainee with their supervisorsVisit workplace learning sites to observe and assess student performanceComplete all assessments, marking, feedback, and moderation within required timeframesParticipate in internal and external moderation as per annual moderation plansProvide first-contact academic and pastoral support to learnersKo koe tenei | About you : At least 2 years Security Tutoring / training experienceExperience in vocational education or trainingKnowledge of NZQA unit standards and assessment processesMinimum level 4 or above qualification in a relevant field (Business / Security)Links with security industry organisations and agenciesCompetency in Microsoft Office applicationsCertificate in Adult Teaching and Learning (Level 5 or 6) or willing to work towards oneCertificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education or willing to work towards oneClean Full NZ Drivers Licence - travel to sites across the region is required from time to timeNga painga | What we offerAt NZSE, we value our kaimahi and provide a supportive, culturally rich environment.
