About the RoleAs Administrative Support in the Emergency Departmentyou will be working within a multi-disciplinary team including doctors, nurses,other clinical professionals and administration staff.Your primaryresponsibility will be for reception and administration duties to enable thesmooth flow of patients through the department, including ensuringpatient documentation is maintained and up to date.

ED shifts :Early06.45-15.15 hours 07.45-16.15 hoursLate12.00 - 20.00 hours15.00 - 23.00 hours16.00 - 00.00 hoursNight23.00 - 07.00 hoursThis is a permanent, part-time position working 48 hours per fortnight(0.6 FTE), rostered and rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday.There is no on-callrequired.We are looking for applicants who would enjoy the variety of shiftwork, and who are happy to work on a rostered and rotating basis.
During the training phase it will beimportant that you are available to train across all shifts.
About the Team / Service / LocationThe emergency administration team cover the department on a 24 hour / 7days a week basis, rostered across early, late and night shifts.For more information on living and working in Nelson clickAbout youAs Administrative Support in the Emergency Department,it is essential that you have a positive attitude, excellent customerservice and reception skills, as well as the ability to learn new tasks quicklyand multi-task efficiently in a stressful clinical environment.Previousadministration experience, a strong degree of computer literacy and the abilityto work autonomously are also essential.Experience withhospital management systems and knowledge of medical terminology isadvantageous.
It is also important that you have the flexibility to work acrossearly, late and night shifts.
