Tutor - Hospitality

For our Manukau Campus, we are seeking a confident and experienced Hospitality Tutor (Food & Beverage – Level 2 and Level 3) to join us.

You will bring strong experience and genuine passion for the hospitality industry, making you an effective motivator, mentor, and role model. You enjoy working with young people, understand their needs and challenges, and are committed to helping them set and achieve meaningful goals. A positive attitude, sense of humour, and strong teamwork skills are essential.

Key Skills and Attributes

• Knowledge and experience within the service industry (Retail, Hospitality, or Travel)
• Experience teaching hospitality skills (e.g., restaurant / café service, barista skills) in a school or vocational setting
• Ability to integrate theory and industry practice into engaging learning experiences
• High level of initiative and strong problem‑solving skills
• Proven ability to build capability and confidence in learners
• High personal integrity
• Ability to communicate and connect with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Understanding of Te Ao Māori and Pasifika worldviews to support an inclusive learning environment
• Quick learner who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
• Passionate about learner success and willing to go the extra mile when needed
