Playgroup Assistant - Orewa

Overview

Working with our playgroup coordinator in the running of playgroup and assisting her as needed.

This may include :

Setting up and packing down the playgroup

Assisting with playgroup activities - arts and crafts, games, music

Greeting whanau and welcoming them to the group

Ensuring health and safety requirements are met

Small admin tasks as requested by staff

Packing up and cleaning at the end of the session

Our playgroup provides a range of educational activities to enhance tamariki in their ongoing learning and development.

Our playgroups include facilitating activities such as a story session, music session, play dough and painting and craft activity.

It is also an environment where we encourage parents and caregivers to make connections.

Requirements

Great communication skills

Warm and welcoming personality

Confident in working with parents / caregivers and children

Must be reliable and able to maintain confidentiality

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment

Three hours per week.

9am-12 noon on a Monday morning.

Term time only.
