Hamilton is a city in the Waikato region in the North Island. The Waikato River flows through the city. The city is known for its gardens and many leisure activities. It is centrally located and is 1.5 hours from Auckland, and just over an hour from both West and East Coast beaches and 2.5 hours from a popular ski field.

We seek a principal who leads with warmth, clarity, and grace under pressure, holding our Waldorf school community steady through the seasons. They will be a visible and engaging presence in the Waikato Waldorf community, building genuine relationships to stay connected to the heart of the school. Our ideal candidate balances creativity with operational efficiency, bringing thoughtful organisation to daily processes while honouring the artistic and developmental rhythms of Steiner education.
You will be experienced in school management and able to develop a culture of shared leadership, nurturing strong collaborative relationships with staff. Deep community connection is essential, and you will actively strengthen partnerships with Whānau, and the wider Waldorf community.
You will recognise our commitment to enacting the principles of Te Triti o Waitangi in all aspects of school life and held by our special character. You will be or be able to become a New Zealand registered teacher.
