As an Event Operator, you'll be responsible for supporting a variety of events within the community.
The purpose of this role is to provide logistical and operational support as crew members in the delivery of civic, local and regional events.
We run a diverse range of events across the city including Movies in Parks, Music in Parks, CultureFest and more.
These are focused on the community and giving Aucklanders an enjoyable experience.
We need an efficient operator to transport our equipment, manage the logistics of getting the events sites up and running in the right place and on time.
This is a Casual role.
Due to the variable scheduling of the live events, weekend work will be required, particularly during the summer months.

You will provide essential logistical and operational support for a variety of civic, local, and regional events organized by our Events unit.
You'll also play a key role in supporting events for Maori Outcomes, local boards, and Council-supported community initiatives.
Your work will help bring our community together and create memorable experiences for everyone involved.
Responsibilities
Oversee the complete delivery of civic, regional, and local events, including tasks like managing information booths, stages, and AV operations.
Organise and manage event setup and teardown, and support community initiatives such as emergency response or outreach.
Handle the transport and storage of Auckland Council event equipment.
Lead event support by managing volunteers, contractors, and ushering.
Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
Qualifications
3+ years' experience in event management and operational end-to-end delivery.
Evidence of relevant, recent and continuing job-related learning and development.
Previous experience in event operations is desirable but not essential.
Good geographic knowledge of the city desirable.
Full, clean, current NZ driver's licence & experience driving manual vehicles essential – experience with larger vehicles also favourable.
Physically fit as this job has a high level of manual handling.

We are expecting to appoint the successful applicant at a salary of between $65,000 to $72,000 per annum, depending upon experience.
