Make the right choice

Lead the strategy and growth of Kiwicare’s product portfolio across New Zealand and Australia. As Portfolio & Category Manager, you will shape category direction, manage product lifecycles and drive innovation through collaboration and strong retailer partnerships. It’s a hands‑on role where your expertise will deliver real commercial impact.

Based in Auckland or Christchurch, with flexibility on location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead long‑term category and portfolio strategies that drive business growth, profitability.
  • Analyse market trends, scan data and consumer insights to shape actionable category plans.
  • Deliver the innovation pipeline from ideation to commercial launch ensuring new products are based on insights, align with category strategy and deliver profitable growth.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver commercial outcomes and execution excellence.
  • Provide strategic direction on promotional and trade marketing activity, ensuring execution aligns with category priorities and brand positioning.
  • Build strong relationships with major retail partners across NZ and Australia.
  • Lead and develop a small team providing coaching and direction to deliver exceptional results.

What you’ll bring with you

  • 8+ years’ experience in FMCG category, product, or brand management, including full product lifecycle ownership and category strategy development.
  • Deep understanding of the ANZ retail environment and key player dynamics.
  • Analytical, data‑driven mindset with strategic thinking and hands‑on execution skills.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Collaborative, proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated capability in revenue growth management.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
