About the role
Our team Te Ratonga Arai Mate- Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Service & Arakato o Tangaroa – Vessel Health Preservation and Intravenous Access is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse.
We are keen to find the right person to join our dynamic team.
You will be given the opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise across the IPC core business areas of this exciting specialty including : Built Environment and Healthcare Facility Design, Education, Environmental Management, Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices, Surveillance, and Vascular Access Management.
In this role, you would provide advice on infection prevention and control measures to ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors to Te Tai o Poutini and Waitaha facilities, as a member of this transalpine nursing team.
You will guide and support staff in clinical areas, laboratories and maintenance and engineering to implement appropriate IPC practices in their work areas to minimise risk of infection transmission.
About the service
Our integrated team Te Ratonga Arai Mate - Infection Prevention and Control Service & Arakato o Tangata – Vessel Health Preservation and Intravenous Access strategically deploy resources promoting best practice standards in infection prevention and control as well as vessel health preservation and intravenous therapy to improve safety for patients, staff and visitors to our health care facilities.
About You
You will be given the opportunity to gain knowledge and expand your clinical capabilities in the exciting specialty practice area of Infection Prevention and Control.
Your clinical knowledge and experience in addition to diplomacy, respect and professionalism, will be key to engaging with staff and patients to ensure your success in this role.
A passion for promoting quality patient outcomes in infection prevention and control is essential and a full orientation programme and training will be provided.
Ability to work Monday to Friday between 08 : 00 and 16 : 30 hrs.
Registered with Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
