    About the role

    Wahi Oranga is an

    inpatient rehabilitation unit which offers a recovery-based programme that

    enables people with mental health issues to live fulfilling lives in the

    community.

    The goals of this multi-disciplinary staffed service are :

    • Provision
    • of a safe and supportive environment to provide extended assessment,

      treatment and rehabilitation following an admission to the adult acute

      service

    • Teaching
    • skills to help support illness management and to support consumers to live

      the life they want to live

    • Support
    • development of structure and meaningful routines

    • Support
    • safe discharge into a community settingOpportunities currently;
    • 1x Fixed term, full-time opportunity until 8th February
    • 1x Fixed term, full-time opportunity until 30th March
    • 1x Fixed term, full-time opportunity until 7th April
    • 1x Fixed term, full-time opportunity until 30th August

    • About

      you

    • Registered with the Nursing Council of
    • New Zealand with a current APC and mental health scope;
    • An interest in Safewards and training
    • in the Collaborative Problem Solving Approach will be provided;
    • An ability to forge and foster
    • meaningful relationships, whilst treating others with respect, encouragement

    • and support;
    • Adhere to guidelines of Cultural Safety
    • and the Treaty of Waitangi.
