The Role :

As a Pharmacy Retail Assistant, you'll play a key part in delivering an outstanding customer experience from the moment someone walks through our doors. You’ll be approachable, efficient, and attentive to the needs of each individual, ensuring our customers feel welcomed, supported, and well-informed. Your role will be varied, fast-paced, and hands-on, ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy and making a positive impact.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

  • Greeting and assisting customers with warmth and professionalism, offering product recommendations and support based on their individual needs.
  • Listening carefully to customer concerns and queries to help them find the right over-the-counter products or direct them to the pharmacist when needed.
  • Processing transactions accurately at the till, handling payments, and maintaining a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Assisting customers with prescription collection, ensuring medications are handed out accurately, confidentially, and in line with pharmacy procedures.
  • Ensuring shelves are fully stocked, tidy, and well-presented, making it easy for customers to find what they need.
  • Monitoring and rotating stock and assisting with stocktakes and deliveries.
  • Supporting the pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks, including administrative duties, and learning about pharmacy processes to assist customers effectively.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment, following hygiene and safety protocols at all times.
  • Learning about products and promotions so you can provide knowledgeable advice and keep customers informed.

This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and is always looking to grow and improve.

Hours :

Full-time hours are 40 per week (Monday–Friday) + rostered weekends.
