About the Role

Te Nikau Hospital & Health Centre is looking for anenthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Integrated AdministrationTeam.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery ofhigh-quality, equitable healthcare services for the West Coast community.

The Integrated Administration Team at Te Nikau works inclose partnership with Te Tai o Poutini West Coast clinical and non-clinicalteams, as well as external stakeholders, to support healthcare services thatare equitable, accessible, caring, and kind.

As part of this team, you willensure that tangata (people) of the West Coast receive the care they needthrough seamless administrative support.

This role involves acting as part of the 24 / 7 hub for Te Taio Poutini West Coast, primarily based at Te Nikau Hospital but with occasionalwork across other sites.

You will manage patient entries, handle administrationtasks, and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring patients have efficientand appropriate access to services in accordance with Health NZ policies andprocedures.

As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claimsettlement this role has beenmapped to National Band 3 / Profile 3

Provideadministrative support in line with Health NZ policies, the wider healthsystem, and community needs.

Maintainconfidentiality and follow procedures to ensure the privacy and dignity ofall patients.

Collaborateeffectively within the team and across the organization to improve thelong-term delivery of administration services.

Managepoint-of-entry processes, including patient arrivals, fee charging, andtelephone services (Touchpoint).

Respondto emergencies (e.g., 777 calls or fire alarms) and follow establishedprocedures.

Maintainmedical records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.

Liaisewith the ISG department to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smoothservice delivery.

Managefinancial processes, including invoicing, fee collection, paymentreconciliation, and daily banking.

About you

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills :

Experience :

Minimumof 1-2 years of office experience or in a similar role.

Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft OfficeSuite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

CommunicationSkills :

High-level written and verbal communication abilities.

Willingnessto learn and embrace new technologies and systems.

Initiative :
