Job description

Lead BI innovation at Ara using Azure, Fabric & Power BI—driving smarter decisions and shaping data strategy across the education sector.

As BI Developer and Data Engineer, you will make business data available for enquiry and analysis in consistent and reusable data structures. This involves extracting data primarily from key Ara business systems, though also from other external sources, using ETL tools to load data to a data warehouse and building models that support the reporting requirements of Ara divisions and teams.

Lead BI development using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, and Power BI.
Collaborate across teams to deliver impactful data insights and models.
Drive innovation in data architecture and reporting solutions.

Requirements :

A tertiary qualification at Degree level in an appropriate discipline

Proven expertise in the management, transformation and delivery of data for business consumption.

Experience in data warehouse design and development.

Experience in a variety of RDBMS - In particular Ara uses MSSQL and Oracle RDBMS.

Analysis and reporting skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Effectiveness in presenting a message in a meaningful form to persuade and influence others

A personal discipline in the effective use of effort and time
