Overview

Role : Hardware Engineering responsible for electrical and mechanical systems in CAE’s through-life support contracts, upgrades and installation projects. The role includes defining or updating CAD drawings and wiring schematics for simulator computer systems, computer racks, cockpit and simulated avionic interfaces, plus peripheral equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Development of simulation hardware solutions for assigned tasks
  • Production of all relevant documents
  • Assisting in deployment of product at a customer site
  • Integration and verification of hardware components
  • Provide support for hardware interface changes both on and off-site

Qualifications

  • Ideally holds a degree or certification in a relevant hardware / engineering domain (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proven functional expertise in hardware & electrical engineering principles
  • A background in aviation, flight simulation and / or defence is a bonus
  • Location

  • Homebush, NSW

  • Security Requirements

    As the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
