Job Description

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on Property Assistant to join our friendly team at Summerset.

In this full-time role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the high standards Summerset takes pride in – helping to keep our village safe, beautiful, and running smoothly.

You'll work closely with the Property Manager and Head Gardener to support a wide range of maintenance and gardening tasks across the village.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with general property and garden maintenance

Helping with building maintenance and refurbishments

Assisting with landscaping, gardening, and ground care tasks

Taking part in property inspections and reporting safety or maintenance issues

Communicating clearly and respectfully with residents, team members, and contractors

This is a Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm position.

You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team who work together to create a village our residents are proud to call home.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone practical, approachable and dependable, with the ability to take initiative and complete a variety of tasks efficiently.

This role would suit someone looking to shift into a stable role, that takes pride in their work and surroundings.

Someone who likes to engage with people in the village and their home and create a people-first environment.

You'll be successful in this role if you have :

Experience in property maintenance and gardening

Strong DIY or trade skills – part trade qualified preferred

A current driver's licence

The ability to work independently and take pride in your work

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
