Shape architectural design outcomes and influence major commercial projects

We're now looking for an experienced Specification Manager to join our Auckland team, based ideally in Penrose , to help shape early-stage project specifications and drive product adoption across the North Island.

The Opportunity

As a Specification Manager, you'll play a critical role in influencing early design decisions and ensuring CSR products are specified into commercial and government projects. You'll combine your technical product knowledge, relationship-building skills, and commercial insight to deliver tailored solutions that add real value to architects, designers, and consultants.

Your focus will be on developing and maintaining long-term partnerships, driving specification opportunities, and supporting projects from concept through to delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build trusted relationships with architects, designers, and consultants to secure specifications for CSR products.
  • Proactively identify and target upcoming projects using CRM and pipeline tools.
  • Deliver engaging, professional presentations and CPD sessions to showcase CSR's value propositions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams – sales, marketing, and technical – to ensure projects are delivered seamlessly.
  • Use AutoCAD to support design documentation and provide technical input on architectural drawings.
  • Track and convert specifications into successful sales outcomes through effective pipeline management.
  • About You

    You're a technically capable and commercially savvy professional who knows how to navigate the specification landscape. You're confident in front of architects, and you know how to influence decisions with credibility and insight.

    You'll ideally bring :

  • Proven experience in architectural specification within the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycles and how to align product solutions with customer needs.
  • AutoCAD proficiency – essential for reviewing and supporting design documentation.
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing project pipelines.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously across multiple stakeholders.
