Join a long-term project to develop an anime-inspired RPG using Unreal Engine 5 and C++. This remote role is ideal for experienced game developers passionate about bringing unique, stylized worlds to life. You will be responsible for taking the project from initial concept through to implementation, collaborating closely with the project owner to shape gameplay mechanics, systems, and overall player experience. The project offers the potential for follow-up work based on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement core gameplay systems and mechanics in Unreal Engine 5 using C++
  • Collaborate on game architecture, character systems, and world-building to achieve an authentic anime RPG experience
  • Optimize game performance and troubleshoot technical issues throughout development
  • Integrate art, animation, and audio assets into the game engine
  • Participate in regular remote meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and creative direction
  • Document code and development processes for future scalability and maintenance
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices relevant to anime RPG development

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven experience developing games in Unreal Engine 5 with strong C++ programming skills
